we are one

our beings become focused
in the physical through
a matrix of molecules

through the food chain,
dna, chemistry, biology,
physics, technology, adaptation
the civilization advances

if the balance is right
the civilization continues
to conceive of beginning again

so that one day all
will know
why we come

there is not much reason
to be here other than
we come
